Stranded

Authors Note: In this piece of writing it is about survival if you have any suggestions please comment

Day by Day has passed and Ryan still had not found his way out of the desert. He was the only person on the plane that survived the crash and he was looking for water. Ryan had been out in the desert for 2 days and was on the verge of starvation. Ryan was feeling that well but just then he saw lake of water in the desert. Ryan thought why a lake would be in the desert, instead of thinking that much he ran at it.

When Ryan was a few feet away it disappeared, now Ryan was experiencing hallucinations. He ran under a tree because he saw a monkey. The monkey held an apple, Ryan ran after it but it was too quick for him. Ryan sat down at the stump of the tree, and then Ryan thought he heard rain but then he thought it was hallucinations again. Ryan toke a couple steps out from under the tree and the rain pounded down which felt like a million pounds. Ryan knew he was going to live he just didn’t know for how long.

The Trip That Never Should Have Ended

Picture yourself swimming in the water playing basketball, and zip lining through the jungle at high speeds. Those are some of the things I experienced in Mexico.

In Mexico at our resort lots of games went on all the time. One of my favorite games was water basketball. Water basketball was always fun, unless people were bigger and better than you.

Even though the games were fun zip lining was a blast. The ride up the mountain was long and especially boring, but it was worth it. The ride down all the zip lines were fun, but I enjoyed the last one the most. This one you went through the jungle at high speeds and you saw many of animals, this last zip line was also the longest. After zip lining was over this memory was never to be forgetting.

The zip lining and water basketball were some of the funnest most thrilling things I experienced. I truley had a great time in Mexico.

The Beautiful Day

Authors Note: In this piece of writing I wrote a poem about a vacation that includes semantic devices.

Florida

The winds howls loud
The air is humid
The sun is shining, and it’s a beautiful day to swim
We pack up our stuff and get ready for the beach
The sand was as hot as fire
The water was just at a perfect temperature
Sand castles was fun, but parasailing was a blast
The sun started to set as we all watched from the dock
Watching the sunset was pure joy, it was unlike anything else I have ever seen
The Day at the beach had been one incredible day

The Shot that Changed the Game

The Shot that Changed The Game

Authors Note: The short pieces is about a sport the incorporates a hyperbole and symbolism

He ran up the soccer field, at what seemed like 100 mph. One defender lunged and then another, he was double teamed. The game was 3-3 with 2 minutes left in game. Jake was at the middle of field with two defenders enclosing on him. This game was going to have a close scoring finish.

Jake pulled two moves and split the two defenders with ease. Then he played the ball out wide to Nathan who whipped the ball right back into the box. Daniel got his head on the ball and it hit the crossbar and bounced back out to the edge of the box where Nathan was. Kevin took one touch on the ball and then pounded with lots of power. When Kevin struck the ball it went as fast as lightning into the upper corner where he scored! The game was over with a great finish, Pewaukee has won!
