All I want for Christmas

Authors Note: I wanted to write about what I want for Christmas, because Christmas is coming up and would be a good idea to write about it. 

       For Christmas this year I’m not asking for much, but some of my stuff is expensive. The thing I want most of all would probably be Fat Head. A Fat Head  is basically a big sticker of your favorite sports player that goes on your wall. The Fat Head that I would want, would of Wayne Rooney, I would pick him because he is my favorite soccer player.

       

       The second thing I want Christmas is a projector alarm clock. This new alarm clock can be customized to your favorite sport, and the time is projected on the wall. Also what is cool about this alarm clock is that you can choose your own sound that you wake up to.

       The last things I want to Christmas is a red Xbox controller and a new pair of headphones for my IPod. The pair of headphones I would want are the St. Louis Cardinals ones, that have the logo and the colors are red and black.

       This Christmas year is tuning up to be a great one. If Santa gave me the stuff I want then this Christmas would be the best. I can’t wait for Christmas morning.

Planet of the Apes

Authors Note: In this post I have chosen to write about my favorite movie, because I enjoy writing about things I like.

Imagine you are on the Golden gate bridge knowing that apes are going to attack, you just don’t know when. The “Bam” an ape come out of know where. In the movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes a huge war is going on between the humans and the apes. The movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes has one amazing actor named James Franco, and the movie made a stunning 77 million dollars while it was out in the theaters.
 

             The main character in Rise of the Planet of The Apes is James Franco. He did an amazing job playing his part in the movie. He should be recognized for that. Also in the movie it has lots of action parts in it. Considering that the movie was Based off a war between apes and humans.

When The movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes came out on DVD, for one week it was at the top of the best movie to buy from the store. Even though with all the new movies coming out, Rise of the Planet of the Apes should defiantly be near top of the best movie list.

 The movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes is truly one marvelous movie. Considering the wonderful actors and such creativity with the movie. The movie Rise of the Planet of the Apes is truly one of the most liked movies.

Winter Poems

                                                               

Authors Note: I chose to write about Winter poems, because it’s winter right now. Also I enjoy writing poems.

                                                     Winter, Winter so much fun.

                                                     The snow is fun for everyone.

                                                     All the kids like to play in the snow

                                                     Even though the airflow is really cold.

       Winter is the season where we all hope that we have a snow day.   

   It also is the time where Santa comes and leaves presents under your tree.

  This is the time where the kids go outside in the freezing cold to have snow ball fights.

           Winter is the season that all kids live for.

Stranded in the middle of the ocean

Authors Note: In this story me and my friends are taking a trip to the Bahamas, but when were in the air things don't go so good. I chose to write about this because it really inspired me.

I was so excited as I was taking my first plane ride without my parents! It was me, Sam, Alex,  Brandon, and Ryan. I haven’t seen these guys in months, because they have been on top secret  mission searching for new terrorist. After my friends basically left school for the army, life has been pretty boring. I knew though that it was going be a blast in Bahamas though.  

The flight was wasn’t the best since we have gone through turbulence several times. Then loud and clear the pilot of our Private Jet came on the loud speaker. “Excuse me for the interruption but we are going through some major turbulence and it’s going to be really bumpy”. Nobody really cared about what the pilot said, but maybe we should have listened. Within about 10 seconds after the pilot told us we were going through turbulence, we herd a loud boom and the pilot came on again.

“Be alarmed we are going down for a crash landing”! Once we herd that we went crazy especially Brandon because this was first plane ride. We all held our grip on something bolted to the ground, because when we hit whatever was below us we could die. This was probably the most scary moment of my life, I know I was going die instantly when we hit whatever was below us. I looked out the plane window to see how close we wear to the ground. We wear going to crash land on a island.

As I was happy we weren’t going land in the middle of the ocean. Bang we hit. When I awoke from that terrible experience I looked around to see if anyone else was up or at least alive. I stood up and saw Sam, Ryan, and Alex around Brandon in a circle. “Is he alive” I asked. Ya he is, but he knocked out. Is the pilot still alive “no he clearly dead” said Alex. “Well wear screwed” said Ryan, what are we going to do”! “I think that we should first try to find some shelter and then get some food” suggested Brandon. “He woke up” I exclaimed.

After about an hour of trying to find some shelter we found the perfect place and started building our fort. It toke us all day of hard work to make that fort, but it was good. The next we needed to find was some food. Before sunrise went down we found some coconuts and apples. We needed to start trying to get off the island so I thought of making some sign that we needed help. I thought of burning some fire so maybe a rescue helicopter could find us and pick us up, but for now I’m just going to bed.

When I awoke in the morning I saw all my friends burning wood to tell people that are flying over us that we were stranded on the Island. We were almost done making the SOS sign when a rescue plane flew right over. We we were pretty sure it saw us, and yes it did as it was flying back around to pick us up! This probably has been one of the most thrilling times I have ever had. The plane landed on the island and asked us why we were here. We explained everything and asked him if he could take us to our resort in the Bahamas.

The pilot of the plane said yes and we were off and finally going to the Bahamas. With that I just had after the trip I not sure if I’ll be flying anytime soon.

Hostage Situation

Authors Note: I choose to write about a hostage situation in a school. I picked this because me and my writing circle group thought it would it would be interesting 

It was dark, quit, and creepy as our school was in lock down mode. We recently heard that a crazy group of men we raiding the school and were going to take hostages. My whole Language Arts class was huddled up against the wall, as we could hear some people walking down the hallway outside our classroom door.

Then with a “Bang” we heard gun fire. We didn’t do anything we just sat there as we were hearing gun fire. Then right before the door (to enter the room) went down Sam yelled “they’re shooting the hinges!” “Take cover!" Me and my friends ran and took cover as the men were coming. The group was coming in fast so Ryan suggested that we jump out the window on to the platform below.

    Within two seconds the group of men was getting close so we all lunged for the window and landed outside on the platform. We checked to see if everyone was okay, but Brandon wasn’t looking so good with a bullet wound in his right arm. We new our business wasn’t, because they were probably going to take the Language Arts class hostage. We all got down to the ground level and went back in the school through the cafeteria doors.

    Sam said though if we try to save our language arts class were going to need some weapons. We all went to Gym to look for metal bars and stuff like that. When we were looking we saw a huge vault opened a quarter way. Alex went over to the door and opened it up. The first thing that came out of Sam's mouth was "I get the ACR". Everyone chose a gun expect for Ryan who choose a riot shield and a Desert Eagle.

    Before we left though we made sure we had plan, and I new it would work. As we closed in on the classroom we heard people talking in room. With the noises there had to be 6 men in the room. On my nod Alex and Brandon threw flash grenades and smoke grenades in the room. Sam and Ryan put up C4 on the wall in between the two doors and breached it.

    I ran into the room with nobody seeing me and was picking off the group of men behind Mrs. Mundt desk, 1,2,3 people group dead. Then Ryan ran with his Riot Shield and knocked one of the men out. The last guy was trying to cock his gun so he could start killing the hostages, but he had no chance because Sam came in and got him. After we had everyone secure the guy Ryan knocked out got back up, but Sam just turned around and punched him.

Just as Everyone was getting up from hiding from the tables from the fire fight we had, a SWAT team came in. Every person from the SWAT team looked at us like we were crazy, since we just raided a room that was being held hostage and none of the hostages got killed. Since that day on 4 of my friends have now joined the army at age 13. I not sure why the U.S.A let them in. Those friend are Sam, Ryan, Alex,and Brandon. I don’t really see them that much because they are on top secret missions, but once in a while they will be at school.

A Night In An Old Abandoned Mental Hospital

Authors Note: I chose to write my essay on Project 17, I wanted to write about this book because it is one of my all time favorites.

Imagine it’s midnight outside and you and your friends are going to attempt to break into an old abandoned mental hospital, to film a movie for a contest that could give you tons of fame. As you enter the building you hear various creepy noises. All of this and more goes on in the book Project 17, by Liz Faria Stolartz. The book Project 17 is truly one humorous book with a great setting and plot, the conclusion though very well written.   

Besides Project 17 being scary, it also has a wonderful setting and plot. During the book there were very intense and exciting moments. Some of these moments were probably some of the best I have ever read. The setting for this book  was a perfect place, an old abandoned mental hospital built in the 1800’s. I feel that the author did a wonderful job with the setting and plot, it couldn’t have been any better.

Seeing that Project 17 has a very good setting and plot, the book is also really funny. Among all the characters in the book, Chet is the one that makes you laugh the most. Chet is one of those guys who just goofs around the whole time. Even in the most serious times or dangerous times, Chet is always messing around.  

Even though Project 17 is hilarious, the book in known for it’s conclusion. If I had to vote which was the best, the conclusion, body, or introduction I would choose the Conclusion being the best. What’s cool about the conclusion is it takes you into the lives of the characters 3 or 4 months after they broke into the hospital. The conclusion of this book was by far the best part of the book.

The book Project 17 has proven itself to me that it is one of the best describing and most interesting books I have ever read. Granted the the book Project 17 is very humorous and has a really good conclusion, I think all of Mankind so pick up this book and read it today.

America

Authors Note: This essay is about how I am proud of America, and shows many examples

When you hear the word America what does it make you think of? A lot of people think of all of our troops that are fighting right now for us and how brave they are. All of them are so brave because they are putting their live on the line to make sure we are all safe and fine in America. Our troops have never lost a war and have saved the world by winning some big wars like against Hitler or the Japanese. America is most likely one of the most well run countries in the world.

People in America are very caring people. In 2007 people in America gave over 300 billion dollars to charitable causes. America gave twice as much as the next country most charitable country. When something bad happens like the earthquake in Japan. People from America go over to help out and a lot of other American citizens donate money. When America does something like that you can tell that America is unlike any other country in the world.

America is a very independent country we do a lot of things and pass a ton of laws that other probably think were crazy for passing. Like when we passed freedom of speech law 1948, allowing everybody in America to express their thought to a judge and not get thrown in jail. Freedom of speech is a really good thing to have if you want to run a fantastic country, because you can tell the president what he is doing wrong and maybe he will fix it. I think freedom of speech is one of the best things our country has done.

Catholic, Christian, Lutheran, and Baptist, the choice is yours only if you live in America though. We have freedom of religion unlike any other in the country we can choose our religion. We don’t have a dictator telling us what religion we have to follow. Freedom of religion plays a big part in country to make it best it can be. If you went to a different country I bet you they probably wouldn’t have freedom of speech.

Considering all the other countries out in the world, America has to be one of the top 5 best well run countries. If you live in America you get all the wonderful qualities like Freedom of speech and religion. America would be the first place where I would want to live.

Albert Pujols

  Author's Note: My essay is about Albert Pujols. I chose Albert for my essay becasue he is my favorite baseball player


 If you had to pick your favorite Sports player who would it be? Albert Pujols might be a good choice because he is a good role model with all the great things he does for the community. Albert Pujols is truly one of the most interesting baseball players.   

Autism is one of Albert’s special interest of the baseball field. Albert has 3 kids and one of them has Down syndrome child. Albert does a lot for the Down syndrome kids. Albert’s daughter Isabella was adopted and had Down syndrome. So Albert makes big donations for them and even talks in speeches. In 2005 Albert and his Wife started the PFF (Pujols Family Foundation) it helps with the Down syndrome kids and families in the Dominican in need. The Pujols family also holds a golf tourney to raise money.

Albert Pujols isn’t just good at helping for down syndrome he also is amazing at baseball. Albert Pujols has played 11 seasons and is about 1000 hits away from 3000. He also has 445 home runs in his career so far, also his career batting average is 329. So you can see also why Albert Pujols is also amazing at baseball.

 Every year Albert always goes back to his home town of the Dominican Republic. Last year Albert went back to the Dominican to help out his hometown of Santo Domingo. Albert usually gives the poor people of Santo Domingo some money to live their lives better. The main reasons Albert goes down there is to give the kids nice bats and baseballs and possibly a new field. All the kids love having Albert come he is a sensation there.

Out of all the great players that have played baseball Albert has to be one of greatest players of all time in Major league baseball. Albert isn’t just good on the field he is one of the nicest souls of, for everything he does for the community. Albert is truly the best.
